Our Year 12 ATAR Geography students stepped out of the classroom and into the field during Week 5, to explore real-world environmental issues at the Canning River Eco-Education Centre.
Through hands-on investigations, students examined the impacts of human activity on the river system and explored the "Drains to Living Streams" strategy, as a solution to protect biodiversity.
It was a valuable opportunity for our students to see geography in action and gain a deeper understanding of sustainable environmental management.

Congratulations to Year 12 student Lucas Ryan on his impressive performance at the recent Australian Age Swimming Championships on the Gold Coast.
Despite changing clubs and coach just four weeks before the event, Lucas qualified for the 50m backstroke final and achieved personal best times in every event he competed in!
We are pleased to support Lucas, a member of our TEAM (Talented & Elite Athletes Mindarie) program, as he pursues his academic and sporting goals; including the WA Short Course State Championships in August, where he aims to build on his 2025 results of six gold medals and one silver.
Well done Lucas!

Throughout May, our College Chaplain, Tamrah Peacock, set herself the challenge to complete 600 push-ups to raise funds and awareness for YouthCARE Australia - an organisation that supports the wellbeing of students, families, and school communities across 600 schools in WA.
Fundraisers were encouraged to set a personal challenge and Tam chose push-ups to symbolise strength and resilience - qualities she helps our students develop through her valued role at the College 🫶
Tam surpassed her goal with 620 push-ups, and has raised an amazing $804 for YouthCARE so far. 🎉
To help Tam reach her fundraising target of $1,000 visit: www.ridiculouslygood.com.au/fundraisers/tamrahpeacock
All donations are greatly appreciated.

Last week, our Year 11 ATAR Accounting and Finance students attended The Future is Accounting event at Curtin University, hosted by Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. The session provided students with valuable insights into study pathways in accounting, along with firsthand perspectives from current university students.
Students also had the opportunity to engage with professionals across a range of accounting fields, gaining a deeper understanding of the diverse career options available within the industry.
It was a highly informative and inspiring experience for all who attended, supporting students as they consider their future study and career directions 💫
