A Kindy Adventure in Orange

Today, our kindy students enjoyed a wonderful excursion to Orange, bringing their English learning to life through literature, storytelling and hands-on experiences!

Students enjoyed a fantastic performance of Room on the Broom at the Orange Civic Theatre, explored the Orange Regional Museum and took part in engaging activities at the Orange City Library. It was a wonderful day of learning, with plenty of opportunities to connect stories and learning with the world around them.

A big thank you to Miss McCann, Miss Watters, Bec and Ange for helping make this special day possible!

Readers Theatre Comes to Life!

Break times at MPS are a little warmer and a whole lot of fun with Readers Theatre with Ms Roser! Students are bringing stories and characters to life through drama, expression and plenty of laughter.

It’s a wonderful opportunity for our students to grow in confidence, have fun and express themselves in a safe, supportive environment — and a perfect way to escape the cold and miserable winter weather!

Education Week 2026 – Inspiring Excellence

Today at MPS, we celebrated Education Week with a beautiful morning assembly filled with music, joy and achievement.

A couple of our talented student pianists welcomed us as we arrived, while our school band, choir and Kindergarten entertained us with wonderful performances. We also celebrated the achievements of our students by sharing some of the everyday happenings and recognising their accomplishments through our awards.

It was a lovely opportunity to acknowledge the strengths and talents of our students, as well as the dedication of our wonderful teachers and staff who support them to shine each day.

50 Years Deadly - Learning, Creating, Connecting

Our school has embraced the beginning of NAIDOC Week with meaningful learning experiences across classrooms and around the school.

Students have been exploring the rich histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through writing, artwork, storytelling and collaborative learning.

We are proud to celebrate the oldest continuing cultures in the world and to continue building understanding, respect and appreciation within our school community.

The Wait Is Over!

There was plenty of excitement when our Year 6 students were surprised with the reveal of their 2026 Year 6 jumpers!

After eagerly waiting, the big moment had finally arrived, and the smiles, cheers and excitement said it all. Their jumpers are more than just part of the uniform—they’re a symbol of the important role our Year 6 students play as leaders and role models within our school community.

This was a well-deserved surprise and a special milestone as they celebrate their final year of primary school. We know they’ll wear their jumpers with pride, embracing the responsibilities of being our school leaders and continuing to live our school motto, “Our Best Always,” in everything they do.

Congratulations, Year 6, make the most of the year ahead!

Footsteps Brought The Fun!

Week 9 was filled with energy, movement and plenty of smiles as we welcomed Sydny from Footsteps Dance Company to our school!

Students in Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3 enjoyed daily morning dance sessions, where they learned new routines while building fitness, coordination and confidence in a fun and supportive environment.

The excitement continued on Thursday evening at our school disco, where students had the opportunity to show off the dances they had been practising throughout the week and maybe a few of their own.

Take a look at some of the highlights from a week full of music and movement.
