Millars Well Primary School

Millars Well Primary School Together, everyone experiences Friendship and Achievement at our school.

Every now and then, a student reminds us exactly why we do what we do. This week, one of our students wrote a beautiful, heartfelt poem for our school — a poem about feeling seen, safe, and supported, and wanting to share her gratitude with the people who lift her up each day. Moments like these mean so much to our teachers and staff. They’re the quiet reminders that our care matters, our relationships matter, and that our students feel held in a place where they can grow, create, and truly belong.

The weather is warming up and the perfect way to cool off at school on a Wednesday is to reach one of your 25 nights of reading milestones and bring your reading journal to school! We had a long line for our reading icy pole rewards today and these legends have read for over 200 nights this year! Amazing!

Thanks to the hard work and generosity of Karratha Senior High School and their drama students, some of our year 3/4's travelled out to Dampier Community Hall to watch the 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗮 𝗦𝗛𝗦 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽, as part of the Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA) Book Week celebrations.

Our students watched quietly in awe throughout the performance and loved getting a photo with all the characters after the show, whilst enjoying lunch in the shade. Thank you KSHS! It was fabulous!

What a magical start to Book Week! Characters stepped right off the page and into our ECE area this morning with creative costumes showcased by Kindy 1.

A whole lot of imagination, a little bit of dancing and some very brave students. It is wonderful to see our students bring their favourite book characters to life.

We love dressing up every year to help celebrate the Children's Book Council of Australia Book of the Year Awards and Children's Book Week. On Wednesday morning, we will hold our book parade for the rest of our school, and we are also running some book competitions with class prizes to be shared this week.

💟Kindness Club Is Off To A Wonderful Start! 💟

We kicked off our first Kindness Club at recess and lunch time today, with joy and smiles filling the library from the moment students walked in!

One of our thoughtful Student Leaders Aria has chosen kindness in a special way to spread smiles and make a difference with some of her friends in this student-led initiative! We are beyond proud, Hearts are full! 🥰
