5A students worked together to pool their positive reward points for a Hot Chip Lunch!🍟🤤👏

This week the Foundation students are reading the fairytale, The Gingerbread Man. Today they took part in a cooking language experience where we made gingerbread people. We spoke about the ingredients and learnt a lot about Ginger! Students decorated their own gingerbread people with icing and chocolate buttons.

Student-Free Curriculum Day - Wednesday 19 August

A reminder to all families that Wednesday 19 August will be a Student Free Curriculum Day. Students will not attend school on this day while staff participate in professional learning and curriculum planning.

Camp Australia will be operating OSHC on Wednesday 19 August for families requiring care. Families wishing to use this service are encouraged to make bookings directly with Camp Australia in advance.

The Foundation students have been exploring the properties and uses of different materials and how materials can be used in different ways for different purposes. As part of our learning about fairy tales, students were given a challenge inspired by The Three Little Pigs — could they build a house strong enough to withstand the Big Bad Wolf?
Working collaboratively, students designed and built their own houses using a range of materials. Once their houses were complete, it was time to put them to the test! A hairdryer became our very own Big Bad Wolf, blowing against the houses to see how strong they were. 💨🏠

The students had so much fun working together collaboratively!
