The illustrious Indian film director and actor Bharathiraja left an indelible mark on the world, passing away in Chennai at the ripe age of 84. Revered as Iyakkunar Imayam (Pinnacle of Directors), his legacy will forever be etched in the annals of cinematic history, as he courageously battled an age-related illness. I am eternally grateful for the profound blessing of having met him, engaging in an enlightening conversation that traversed the realms of culture, my country, and more. The memories of this encounter will forever be treasured. The world of cinema will deeply miss his grandeur, but his impact will resonate eternally. May his soul now rest in the serene company of his beloved son Manoj.
