As our Operational and Membership Manager, Jack has been instrumental in SASMA’s rebuild and in driving us into the exciting phase we’re in today. His leadership and commitment shine through in every project he touches.

Jack has managed medical teams for major events including:

🏐 Beach Volleyball World Championships
🏇 Adelaide Equestrian Festival
⛹️‍♂️ Australian Masters Games

He also plays a key role in delivering our Annual State Conference, Professional Members Education Program, and the coordination of SASMA’s programs - all while keeping our CRM, website, membership, communications and social media running smoothly 🤩

Last Friday, SASMA was proud to be part of the Heart of the Community Volunteer Expo at the SA Sports Institute, delivered by SA Recreation and Sport 🤩

The event shone a spotlight on the vital role volunteers play in our sporting community and the impact they have across all levels of sport.

Throughout the day, we welcomed both school and university students to our trade display, sharing opportunities available to them through SASMA and the broader sports industry ⛹️‍♂️

In the evening, we were delighted to be joined by valued members of the SASMA community for the keynote address and panel discussions - capping off a fantastic day of connection, learning and celebration 🎉

Led by APA Sports Physiotherapist Angela Willsmore, this practical workshop is designed for Sports Trainers looking to refine and expand their taping skills.

Covering both upper and lower limb techniques including wrist, elbow, shoulder, AC joint, plantar fasciitis support, knee taping, and advanced ankle taping (content may vary depending on time and group needs).

Delivered in partnership with SASMA, and open to Level 1 Sports Trainers or those with equivalent taping experience.

Last Wednesday we were pleased to run an Advanced Sports Taping Course in Port Lincoln!

The course saw a great range of attendees coming from across the Eyre Peninsula! The session covered taping technique for shoulders, knees, and more.

Well done to all involved for furthering their knowledge and skills, supporting safer sport from the sidelines in the community! 💪

Last weekend we were proud to run a two community courses at the South Augusta Football Club - a 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗞 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 ✅

By completing the TICK checklist, the club demonstrated they have the correct measures in place to ensure the safety of their community! 💪

David’s next stop? Los Angeles with the Australian Diving Team ✈️
