Huge shoutout to our amazing cooks Barb and Leah who have put on an awesome spread for the staff this morning. In honour of Australias Biggest Morning Tea.

Every year Country Way likes to participate in a fundraiser and donate the money to a charity. This year we are wanting to raise money for our first responders and place a credit around some local coffee shops so they can enjoy some free drinks and food when in uniform. These donations will also apply to our nurses and doctors. By doing our fundraiser this way we can ensure that the funds raised will go towards our local community.
If you are after a child free night, whether that be out with the girls, out with the boys or just a parent night out this one is for you! (friends are welcome even if their child does not attend Country Way)
On Friday the 14th of June we are holding a fundraiser night at Vanden Estate from 6:30pm until 10:45pm. Tickets will be $60pp which includes food and there will be a silent auction throughout the night to raise money.
Silent Auction:
Each room will be completing an art piece that will be up for auction amongst other donations from local businesses (Any donations for the auction will be appreciated, please speak to the front office if you would like to take part). We will have a table set up with different auction items that you can go up and place an amount and the highest bid will get the item and will be announced later in the night. We cannot stress enough that you don’t need to place a bid if you don’t want to as we understand the ticket price may be enough.
If you are interested in attending this event tickets can be purchased at the front office by the 29th of May. Payment can be made by cash or eftpos.

Hi Families,
Remember tomorrow 10:00am-12:00pm is the Country Way Community Market for children's week. There will be market stalls from some of our families small businesses, face painting, soft climbing play and activities set up by our educators. Call in a check it out. Would love to see you there.

🤱🏽Supported Playgroups is coming to Mildura Community House!

All families are invited to take part in a fun and active program featuring craft, dance encouraging movement and play.

📅 10am to 12pm every Monday throughout Term 4 (8 Dove Place)
➡ Children can play, learn and practice social skills through craft, dance and many more fun activities
✅Parents can have a cuppa and chat with each other and our playgroup organiser
🍎 Morning snack is provided

Country Way Families we would love for you to join us!!

This year as part of our celebrations for the upcoming Children’s Week, Country Way is putting together a Community Market Day for our families! This year’s theme is Children have the right to relax, play and to join in a wide range of leisure activities.

The Children’s Week National Theme for 2023 is based on UNCRC Article 31: All Children have the right of the child to rest and leisure, to engage in play and recreational activities appropriate to the age of the child and to participate freely in cultural life and the arts.

We will be setting up activities and games for the children with nibbles provided. This will be on Saturday the 14th of October between 10:00am to 12:00pm.

We would love to welcome any parents that have a small business to set up a market table between 10:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday the 14th of October.

If you would like to be involved somehow and would like to set up a table please let the front office know!

R U OK? Day Dress in YELLOW

Quick reminder to families that tomorrow (Thursday 14th) is R U OK? Day.
R U OK?Day is our national day of action when we remind Australians that every day is the day to ask, ‘are you OK?’ and start a meaningful conversation whenever they spot the signs that someone they care about might be struggling with life.

To help spread the awareness we ask that everyone wear yellow and bring a gold coin to donate to the cause.
There are also R U OK? day Chocolate bars (made by customiZed Keepsakes) available to purchase from the front office for $4.00.

We have chosen R U OK? Day as this years fundraiser as staff wellbeing is one of our main focus areas here at Country Way. We have found more adults are struggling with personal circumstances causing everyday activities like work to be a challenge, so we want to do all we can to ease the stress where possible.

We appreciate your support with this great cause.
