Mildura English Language Centre

The students at MELC have really enjoyed swimming this week at First Stroke Swim School. Everyone has been giving it their all and trying hard to learn new skills. EL1 and EL2 have been working on procedure writing and made jelly!

Yesterday EL1 celebrated 100 days of school with a class party! They made chocolate crackles and fairy bread and then celebrated with some party games. They played Pin the tail on the tiger, Pass the Parcel and an EL1 Kahoot. They had a very special 100 year old guest, Winnie the Pooh who came to join our celebrations.

Dear Parents and Carers,

There will be NO SCHOOL for EL1 and EL2 tomorrow- Thursday 23rd July 2026.

Students in EL4 and EL5 come to school as usual.

Some MELC staff will be attending a Stop Work meeting. The meeting is about improving school funding, staff working conditions and staff pay.

Today EL1 had a very eventful day as Boris the Labubu kidnapped their beloved class teddy Gregory. They created missing posters and followed clues around the school to finally find him in Ms Tracy’s office! Well done EL1 on your detective skills!

Hello All, Our graduation ceremony will begin shortly after 12:30pm in the Mildura Senior College Gym. For parents attending the graduation ceremony, you may take your children home at the conclusion of the ceremony. For parents not attending today student pick up is 2:30pm. Thank You!

Dear Parents and graduation attendees.
The yellow highlighted building is the Mildura Senior College gym, where our graduation will take place from 12:30pm tomorrow the 26th June. Please enter gate 5 as you normally would when collecting your children and park in the first carpark.

There were some very excited students at MELC today as it was our first day of ordering food at the canteen. Students enjoyed so many different food options from the MSC canteen. Starting next term students will have the option to order lunch each Wednesday.

Congratulations to our recent award winners for displaying our values at MELC. This week EL1 enjoyed a class party to celebrate Gregory’s birthday! Gregory (the classroom teddy), and the students had a wonderful time engaging in party activities.
