So as you legends know this is something very close to our hearts. Breast cancer, like any cancer is an insidious disease that affects many. The support people get from specialist services makes a huge difference so we thought we’d do a one off Breast Cancer Rashie with 50% of all monies raised donated to the Sunraysia Cancer Resource Centre.

More important than any medal is moments like this ❤️. Scott & his daughter Ylva got to compete together at the Afbjj National Championships. This is something that both will treasure forever, it’s what I love about Jiu Jitsu and especially our little gym ❤️.
Great classes tonight legends, same again tomorrow.

Day 3 of Nationals was all about the kids, we only had 5 competitors this time but they all gave their all.
Reid ‘Jamal’ Singlet grabbed Double Gold for both Gi & No Gi. 100% submission rate, no points scored on him 🔥.
Rayny days singlet grabbed double bronze, considering this kid basically didn’t train for the last 2 months due to concussion protocols he did amazing.
Rhylen also grabbed a double bronze, he fought some super tough teens and accounted himself well. Always improving.
Ylva jumped into her very first comp and it just happened to be the BIGGEST comp of the year. She fought hard and most importantly enjoyed herself and Grabbed a bronze medal.
And Tristan had extremely tough divisions and he also hasn’t trained much lately, he fought hard and grabbed 2 bronze medals.
So 3 days , over 3000 competitors, lots of yelling haha I couldn’t be prouder. 5 Adults & 5 kids from our Academy and we are bringing home 6 Gold, 2 Silver and 11 bronze I think. Thank you all for representing with pride, let’s get back to training ❤️

Huge day today for the team and the Burnham Brothers Jiu Jitsu .
Kris had some super tough fights and grabbed himself 2 more Gold Medals in his weight & open weight divisions. Des lost a refs decision that could’ve gone either way in his weight and grabbed bronze, then in the Open weight he got to the final against a rather large lad and ended up getting subbed with about 1 minute left. Scotty had some tough fights and grabbed bronze in his weight Div. All lads fought amazing, super proud.
And then we watch Professor Shark win both his matches via sub in the Gi to get double Gold in both Gi & No Gi. Team is going strong.
If that wasn’t enough Professor Cooper won Bronze in the IBJJF SEOUL OPEN GI, amazing effort. He has No Gi tomorrow and we have Day 3 of Nationals.

Day 1 of the AFBJJ National Titles. Super proud of these legends today, everyone fought their hearts out and did amazing. We did lots of things right but also did lots of things wrong.
Chase, Des & Kris all grabbed themselves Gold, Des also got Bronze in Absolute Div. Kris grabbed A bronze, Scotty grabbed himself a Silver & Bronze and unfortunately Cody didn’t medal today.
Proud Coach, Day 2 Tomorrow.
