Morning all, in 3 weeks time we have the Nostalgia drags in Mildura. We are seeing if anyone is available to help us Cook BBQ Friday night dinner, entry gate Saturday and Sunday which is not a strenuous job, Sunday pancake breakfast. Possibly put together Saturday lunch maybe. Or if you just want to come and watch as there is a great entry list so far. We have members Shaun Brauer and Kevin Johns racing in hot rod and Nathaniel Kuchel is going to begin licensing in Kingsley’s FED. Dinner will be done at Bobs place sunday night for anyone that wants to stay until monday. Let us know if you can attend.

Nostalgia's 17th-18th August 2024 Competitor Entry - Pre 1982 - Entries close August 5th
To make sure this event is run at a quality level, All fields will be capped. If we exceed 100 entries competition might need to be run over two days so we can keep the round robin format. We hope to complete it in one day but please just be prepared if we need to finish Sunday morning. Also ANDRA rules will be followed especially ET times. Day Licence cannot go faster than 6.7 seconds or you will be put onto the trailer. If you cannot follow these rules please do not enter.

SOME BASIC EVENT RULES ARE NO DELAY BOXES (delay boxes can be used at the Sunday funday).
OPEN EXHAUSTS ARE ACCEPTABLE IN ANY CLASS.
ALL CLASSES WILL BE PRO TREE TO STOP DELAY BOXES BEING USED.
Fire pits are permitted in the pits but they need to be approx 200mm of the ground. Feel free to message the club via the website www.sunsetstrip.org.au or via Facebook if you have any further questions.

Reminder mums funeral is at 1pm tomorrow at north west funerals on Deakin Ave, if you are brining a hot rod or muscle car you can all park together on the grass at the end of the main car park

We are also asking in lieu of flowers tomorrow we are asking for donations which will go to palliative care service. Envelops and a drop box will be at the service.

Palliative care did a fantastic job supporting mum and also our family during the last weeks of mums life.

Just a reminder that mum's funeral will be on Thursday the 18th of January at North West funerals at 1pm in South Mildura before heading to the Red Cliffs cemetery. With it being quite warm feel free to bring a change of clothes to get changed at the wake which will be at dads house. As purple was mum favourite colour we are asking if someone has something purple to wear we are certainly encouraging it. Also if anyone has or wishes to take their hot rod or muscle car we are encouraging that as well with possibly a specific area for the cars to park in at the funeral home.

We just want to inform you about the start of the run tomorrow. We wanted to wait as long as we could before making the decision on where we would start. The few runs we have started at lock 11, but due to the constant rain and amount lock 11 is closed plus the predicted rain for tomorrow we will be having lunch at Bob and janita’s place.

Their place is 150 Kulkyne way. Its about 2 km from the highway. The house is also big and it’s blue.

Howdy everyone, we have been very quiet over the last couple of years but we have had quite a bit on. We are just letting everyone know that might be coming up for goanna run that we are having a big boys run this year.

It will be very laid back compared to what we normally do so pretty much it’s just a week long gathering of good company, lots of food and many beverages. We will not be doing shirts but might put together a poster for everyone.

Just so we get an idea for number we will be doing a form and will release this on Monday. I will email out to all the attendees from the last run.
