Learning doesn't stop at the classroom door!

Our passionate Educators bring children's interests and indoor learning to life outdoors, creating meaningful opportunities to explore, investigate, imagine, and discover!

Every experience is thoughtfully planned, every child's curiosity is valued, and every space becomes an opportunity to learn.

Because when children lead with curiosity, amazing learning happens!

Reptile Incursion!

Our children had a blast getting up close and personal with some very special reptile friends and learning lots of fun facts along the way!

We met Rachel the stick insect, Popcorn the shingleback lizard, Freddy the frog, Snappy the crocodile, Peter the possum, Mr Turtle, and a beautiful goanna! 🐢

The children were absolutely fascinated and loved the opportunity to see, learn about, and interact with these amazing animals.

It was such a fun and hands-on learning experience! Reptile Encounters

Messy play magic!

Things might get a little messy, but that’s where the fun begins! Our Kinder loved getting stuck in squishing, splashing, mixing, creating, and discovering along the way.

Messy play gives children the freedom to explore, use their imagination, and simply have fun!

There’s no right or wrong way to get messy, just lots of learning, laughter, and happy little faces! 💚

Teamwork makes the dream work! 🤝

Why do it alone when you can build, create, laugh, and problem-solve together?!

Our children love teaming up! Through their play, they’re learning that working together means sharing ideas, listening to their friends, communicating, solving problems, and developing resilience.

And the best part? They’re having so much fun while they’re doing it! Because when we work together, we can do so much more! 💚

Independent Learners!

At Merrifield, we encourage our children to have a go and develop their self-help skills throughout the day, from feeding themselves and washing their hands to putting on sunscreen, packing away toys, and helping with everyday routines.

These simple moments are so important for building confidence, independence, coordination, problem-solving, and a sense of achievement.

They may not get it right the first time, but we are here to support your child every step of the way! 💚

Learning about our amazing bodies!

Our Kinder children have been using technology to explore and learn all about the human body!🫁

Through interactive digital resources, the children discovered how different parts and organs of our bodies work together.

Technology provided a fun and engaging way to investigate, discover and extend their curiosity, while connecting their digital learning with meaningful conversations and hands-on experiences.

Little hands, big impact! ♻️

At our Centre, sustainability isn’t just a once-off experience, it’s something we practise every day!

Our children absolutely love getting creative with recycled and sustainable materials, giving everyday items a new purpose.

From creating, building, and exploring to learning how we can reuse, repurpose, and reduce waste. Our children are learning that even the smallest actions can make a big difference.

Because caring for our planet starts with the little things we do every day! 💚

Little hands, big green thumbs! 🌱

Our children are learning how to care for our environment through our culinary experiences! They’ve been busy planting, watering, and watching their veggies grow.

Now comes the exciting part, waiting for the harvest!

Who’s ready to see what grows? 🌿
