Kids Academy Mickleham – Evacuation Drill Update 🚒

Yesterday our centre successfully completed our monthly evacuation drill, with this month’s scenario focusing on a gas leak. We are very proud to share that all staff acted quickly and confidently, and the entire building was evacuated in just 3 minutes.

Our children were absolutely amazing throughout the process. They remained calm, listened carefully to their educators, and moved safely to our evacuation point. A special mention to our Kinder children, who had lots of thoughtful questions afterwards — they were able to chat with our wonderful Christine later in the day to learn more about how and why we practise these drills.

We are incredibly proud of all our children and educators for making this drill so smooth and successful.

Practising these routines helps us ensure everyone knows exactly what to do to stay safe.

The mornings are getting cooler and the afternoons aren’t far behind 🍂

A quick reminder as we head deeper into autumn, it’s a great time to check what’s in your child’s bag:

🧥 A warm layer or jacket
🥾 Closed in shoes and socks
👕 At least one full change of clothes
👒 A hat for those bright autumn days

We love getting outside in all seasons, so being prepared helps children make the most of every moment.
