Gaayip-Yagila Primary School Welcome to Gaayip-Yagila Primary School’s page. Our school opened in 2021 and has an enrolment of approximately 1000 students.

Gaayip-Yagila comes from the language of the Wurundjeri Woi worrung people and means "Coming together to learn".

We have so many things happening each day at school - a scavenger hunt during breaks and daily reading in the library with adults across our school.
On Thursday we have our Dress Up day and there will be two parades.

Our annual Book Week Dress-Up Day will be held on Thursday 27th August.
Students and staff are encouraged to come dressed as a character from one of their favourite books and join in the Book Week celebrations.

We can’t wait to see everyone’s creative costumes and celebrate our love of reading together!

Wednesday 26th August - We will be holding a writer's expo. All classrooms will be open to parents and families to come and view samples of student writing.
Classrooms will be open from 2:30pm - 3:30pm, so you can even walk through after school.
