We follow both the DEC Code of Conduct and Facebook terms and conditions. Comments posted also do not in any way reflect the opinions or policies of Holroyd School. We reserve the right to remove comments that are racist, sexist, abusive, profane, violent, obscene, spam, that advocate illegal activity, contain falsehoods or are wildly off-topic, or that libel, incite, threaten or make ad hominem attacks on Holroyd School students, employees, guests or other individuals. We also do not permit messages selling products or promoting commercial, political or other ventures. Facebook encourages all users to utilise the "Report" links when they find abusive content. Please note that the Department of Education and Communities has this advice for teachers 'Friending' parents on Facebook:
The line between your professional and personal life could become blurred making it difficult to manage your professional relationship with the parents when that becomes necessary. You also need to bear in mind that becoming a Facebook friend with a parent could result in their children getting access to your account as well. You also need to be mindful that you need to be careful what you say on Facebook if you have parents as friends as comments made online can be misunderstood and could result in parental complaints made to your principal. In short, please do not ask to friend a member of staff on Facebook as refusal often offends and none is intended.

Thank you to Wentworthville Leagues Club for its generous $23,205 Community Grant.
This wonderful grant will enable us to purchase Freedom Wheels adaptive bikes, which are individually customised to support students to safely experience bike riding. The bikes will provide opportunities to support physical activity programs, therapy goals, outdoor learning and recreation across our school.
Wenty Leagues continues to be a wonderful supporter of our school. Last term, the Club also supported and funded our 10-week Minifit Sports Program, designed specifically for SSP schools. The program focuses on developing perceptual movement skills, with an emphasis on body management, locomotion and object control.

Last week four of our S29 students - Isaiah, Kawa, Debra and Isaac - represented our school at the Sydney West Bowling Tournament held at Zone Bowling Blacktown.
Our students took on 31 other SSP schools and mainstream high schools. And the result? 11th place!
Congratulations S29 - what a bunch of legends!
