The school supports two satellite classes from the Holroyd School for Special Purposes (SSP). Merrylands High School is a strong community based centre of learning. The school provides the young people of Merrylands and Guildford with a comprehen

sive, relevant and enjoyable curriculum which values tolerance, embraces diversity, and inspires a commitment to lifelong learning. There are high expectations for all, regardless of ethnicity, gender, disability, cultural background, or poverty. The school has a strong reputation within its community and is proud of its history of academic, sporting, cultural and leadership excellence.

He brings his high expectations to every classroom, promotes understanding and is known to all students for his compassion and dedication to run tutorials at school in holidays to enhance student learning resulting in significant improvement in results.

Free initiative – Youth Hub at Merrylands Library! Sessions will be held on the first and third Thursday of each month, from 2.30pm to 5:00pm. With the help of several local community organisations , the Youth Hub is a one-stop shop that will offer a range of free health, employment,counselling, housing, and education services for youth aged 12 to 25 years old.”

📚 Book Week 2024 has kicked off at Merrylands High, and this year’s theme is Reading is Magic! ✨

Our Year 7 and 8 students are embracing the magic by taking on the Read a Book in a Week challenge! Each student has been given a novel, and they’ll be reading in short bursts during different subjects throughout the week to help build healthy reading habits. It’s all about unlocking new worlds and expanding imaginations through the power of reading!
