There are many exciting events, learning opportunities and experiences planned for students throughout Semester Two, and we can’t wait to see our students continue to learn, grow and achieve during Term 3.

🔵 HBF RUN FOR A REASON 🔵⚪️

30 students, 2 teachers and 3 amazing parents from Alkimos Baptist College have woken early to help provide cups of water and fruit to the hard runners at the HBF Run for a reason. With over 39 000 runners, it has been such a spectacle!

Well done to the brave students for their effort and for braving the 6 degree weather 🥶

Book Week Dress-Up Day📚✨

Today our Kindy to Year 6 students, along with our ‘super’ staff, came together for a joyful celebration of books, bringing stories to life with their awesome costumes!

Throughout the day, classes took part in engaging literacy rotations with teachers and enjoyed a range of fun activities.

We’re looking forward to our spelling bee tomorrow and more celebrations of literacy this week!

Secondary students are getting prepared for our annual Compassion Cup! This year we will see student teams play netball and basketball vs Globalheart Youth. There will be food provided by The pitch inn as well as games, music and a raffle draw. All proceeds go towards Compassion Australia. This is a great community event and a very worthwhile fundraiser open to all secondary students.

💃🏼Year 10 Dinner Dance🕺
The Year 10 class celebrated the last day of Term 1 with their Dinner Dance at the Yanchep Inn. After taking photos under the setting sun🌅, students enjoyed a three-course sit down meal. 🍽️ There was a lot of energy and some high-energy moves as students danced their hearts out. 🎉It brought a party atmosphere to the usually tranquil setting as they came together as a cohort.

In the second last week of Term 1 our Year 8 students had an overseas camp ...🏖️to Rottnest Island🏖️. Students were absolutely brilliant as they ventured around the island on bikes🚴‍♂️, snorkelled🤿, star-gazed✨ and weathered the incoming storm⛈️. It is so good to see students tackle new challenges and grow together!

The start of Term 2 means the winter uniform will be worn at school. Make sure that you have checked you have all your uniform needs organised for the return to school on Tuesday 21 April.
