🏀 Our Senior Boys Basketball team continues to represent St Michael's College with pride at this week's competition.

The tournament began with a thrilling 45-44 victory over Padua College, with standout performances from our Year 12 students. Toby M led the scoring with 24 points, Billy D added 12 points, and Liam F dominated the rebounds with a tireless defensive effort.

Today, the team faced Mt Maria College in a highly anticipated top-of-the-table clash. Despite a strong performance, the boys narrowly went down 44-47 in a hard-fought contest between two quality sides.

The team has shown resilience, determination and outstanding sportsmanship throughout the competition, and we look forward to seeing them in action at their next game.

Good luck to our players and coaches as they continue to fly the St Michael's flag! 💪🏀

STUDENT SPOTLIGHT 🌟 Alyssa & Jamison

Congratulations to St Michael’s College students Alyssa Coghill and Jamison Smith on their outstanding achievement at the recent Gold Coast Rural Fire Brigades Group Exercise.

Today, a group of St Michael’s College students attended the Brisbane Catholic Education Cultural Immersion Day at Marymount College, joining students from across the Gold Coast in celebrating and connecting with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. Through song and dance, art, storytelling, weaving, and cultural learning experiences, students deepened their understanding of First Nations perspectives while building connections with one another. It was a meaningful day of learning, respect, and cultural pride that encouraged students to embrace the richness of Australia’s First Nations heritage.
