🌈 Supporting Sensory Regulation at Jindi 🌈
At Jindi, we understand that every child experiences and responds to the world differently. Sensory stimulation and regulation play an important role in children’s wellbeing, learning, emotional development, and ability to engage with others.
We provide a variety of sensory tools and resources to support children in recognising and regulating their emotions, including sensory boxes, fidget tools, tactile resources, weighted comfort items, and calming spaces. These resources help children feel safe, supported, and empowered to manage their sensory needs throughout the day.
By offering opportunities for sensory exploration and regulation, we are fostering children’s self-awareness, emotional resilience, concentration, and overall sense of wellbeing.
✨ When children feel regulated, they are better able to learn, connect, play, and thrive. ✨

🌿 Strengthening our knowledge, strengthening our practice. 🌿
Some of our Jindi educators recently attended an inspiring workshop focused on Aboriginal Languages in Kindergartens, facilitated by the Victorian Aboriginal Education Association Incorporated (VAEAI). Victorian Aboriginal Education Association Inc.
We are proud to continue building our understanding of Aboriginal languages, cultures, and perspectives, ensuring they are meaningfully embedded within our program. By deepening our knowledge, we can create richer learning experiences that foster respect, connection, and a strong sense of belonging for all children.
Thank you to VAEAI and the City of Whittlesea for providing this valuable professional learning opportunity. 🖤💛❤️

🇮🇳 Exploring Cultural Diversity Through Art
The children explored the colours and meaning of the Indian flag through a creative painting experience. As they carefully painted the saffron, white, and green sections, we discussed how each colour represents important values.
🧡 Saffron represents courage and strength.
🤍 White represents peace and truth.
💚 Green represents growth, faith, and prosperity.
🔵 The Ashoka Chakra in the centre symbolises progress, movement, and the importance of always moving forward.
Through hands-on art experiences, children develop an appreciation for different cultures, build a sense of belonging in a diverse community, and learn about the world around them in meaningful ways. 🌏✨

Life is full of opportunities to learn, grow, and empower others. At Jindi, we welcomed Harold the Giraffe, who shared important messages about body boundaries, personal safety, and children’s rights. Through engaging conversations and interactive learning, the children were encouraged to understand that their bodies belong to them and that their voices matter. A valuable experience that helps build confidence, respect, and self-awareness from an early age. 🦒💙
Healthy Harold
