Congratulations to all of our students and their families who are performing or working in roles as part of Starstruck 2026.

Congratulations also, to our community of contractors who have been busy supporting and preparing their students in the lead up to this weekend.

We are so proud of the InnerVoice community as they take the stage in the various roles at the event, whether it be in the choir, dancing, drama, stagework, orchestra, backing vocals, and featured ensembles.

Patrick and Jordann had a number of students who were successful in the featured category this year, and as is tradition they were given a small gift to acknowledge the commitment and hard-work required to perform on the main stage at StarStruck.

Thank you to all the parents and carers for their behind the scenes work, and thank you to the department or education and all staff involved for their hard work.

We hope you all enjoyed the show as much as we did!

The InnerVoice community would like to extend a Happy Birthday to our founder and director Jordann (Jordie) Christie. InnerVoice began in Jordann’s 2 bedroom apartment in Adamstown over 15 years ago, as she taught private vocal lessons while she studied her music degree at Newcastle Conservatorium. After graduating, she taught at a variety of music tuition institutions before starting InnerVoice 6 years ago. Our community is now one of the largest in Newcastle thanks her hard work and dedication to her students and their families. She continues to be a warm and guiding presence to everyone here at InnerVoice and we hope you will join us in wishing her a Happy Birthday today!

Another exciting workshop is taking place in June 🍃

Our Songbirds Workshop is the perfect place to lean into your songwriting skills, and pick up some new skills to help express yourself and your journey through the art of song 🕊️🎵

All attendees will begin the process of writing a song, or you can refine a song you’re are already working on. A simple demo will be created in your session for you to take home 💿

This is open to any one of any skill level and experience. If you can’t play an instrument but have been working on lyrics and melody, that is fine too, all are welcome. However, there are only 6 spots available for this workshop, held at our InnerVoice Merewether location.

Guitarists! Are you looking to learn a little more about that instrument you spend all day practicing? We have an awesome seminar coming up on June 7th featuring running you through everything you might have missed when it comes to the guitar. From pedals, amps, software, and some handy techniques for guitarists learning about the role of the instrument in an ensemble, or songwriting context.

This is open to everyone, including non InnerVoice students. Bring a friend and you both receive a 20% discount! This seminar is still super valuable if you’re playing acoustic guitar.

Term 2 kicks off today! InnerVoice directors Patrick and Jordie (and Quinn the Cavalier) are excited to welcome back our expanding community of students and teaching contractors. This term is an 11 week term and commences today Monday 20/04/2026 and finishes on Friday 03/07/2036. Term 2 is always a busy time for our community, between taking place in June, and mid year intake, our teachers are busy preparing auditions and rehearsals for our busy students with these events, and all of the productions and shows in between.

We have some new faces here this term, so stay tuned as we post about them over the coming weeks. If you are yet to enroll for lessons in term 2 and would love to do so - please head to the link in our bio and fill out our enrollment form.
