Our Year 7 Science students became detectives as they carefully dissected sterilised owl pellets to discover what owls have been eating! Using bone-identification charts, students uncovered tiny bones, teeth and fur to identify their prey and explore predator–prey relationships. 🔍🦴

This week we welcomed Complete Works Theatre Company, who Shakespeare’s ‘Macbeth’ to life for our Year 10 English students and Year 7 to 10 Drama students. It was great to share the experience of live performance!

🍦 I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! 🍦

This week, we explored heat transfer in the yummiest way possible- by making our very own ice cream in a bag! Heat moves from the warmer milk to the colder ice and salt, causing the cream to freeze and turn into ice cream. Some were a sweet success, while others didn’t quite go to plan, and that’s all part of science!

As part of this process, we warmly invite students and families in Years 7-9 to an informal Q&A session next Tuesday 25 August from 3:30pm to 4:30pm in the Blue Building. All staff will be on hand to talk about the electives offered in 2027, the elective process and key dates and to answer any other questions you may have.
