❤️ Remembering ‘Moose’…
The Merbein Kindergarten staff, children, families both past and present, and the Parent Advisory Group (PAG), join the Merbein community in offering our heartfelt condolences to the McGowan family on the passing of Terry – who will always be ‘Moose’ to us.
At Kinder, Moose was a beloved Father, Father-in-law, Poppy and FarFar. He loved drop-offs and pick-ups with his grandies, always attending Grandparents Day, and enjoying when we would visit his Merbein Arts Group (MAG) on an excursion.
Remembering Moose will be easy – we can simply look around us, our Kinder is surrounded by many of his signs, art works and 2 very special projects – our mosaic stepping stones at our front entrance, designed by Moose and crafted with the MAG, as well as our community ‘grapevine’ mural, which Moose created with the Kinder children, using their unique handprints.
Not only was Moose a man of many talents in art, music and sport, he was also a man of the people, always up for a chat whenever we saw him, showing a genuine interest in what you had to say and a deep connection to and love for our Merbein community.
Our Grandparents Day’s will never feel the same.
Rest easy Moose – we will miss you.
