This morning, some of our crew went and visited Generations Early Learning Centre in Merbein to celebrate International Firefighters Day. 🧑‍🚒

Our crews got to spend time and talk with the children at Generations Early Learning Centre, about what we do as Volunteer Firefighters.

Our service will be closed on Monday 27th of January in observance to the Australia/Invasion Day public holiday.

The team at Generations Early Learning would like to extend a big Merry Christmas and Happy New year to our wonderful GEL Families.

It has been a fantastic year and the Educators are all so proud of the achievements your children have made. We are looking forward to what the New Year brings.

Dalmura children engrossed in the sensory experience of clay collected from country.

As our Generation EL children have been deep in play and learning, Educators have been reflecting on how we inter-weave the perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in our everyday environment.

Reconciliation week provides an opportunity to focus on language, culture and heritage of First Nations people, but we endeavor to embrace these every day, all year.

As we Educators work together to foster these respectful relationships with people, culture and Country in our service, our children will be the beneficiaries of a reconciled community.
