We are looking for former MGSC students to be part of a promotional video to show the many kinds of people that are 'a Mentone girl'.

The short videos recorded on your mobile will be part of a montage used on our website. Any former student is invited to be part of it.

Tell us who you are, when you were here and what you are doing now “... I'm a Mentone Girl”.

There are simple instructions on how to do it and where to send it are on our website. Submission are open until 17 October.

Lisa Blumenstein is a winner! We knew that already. Now it’s official. Congratulations to our Head of Visual Art and Media teacher, Lisa Blumenstein, who has taken out the Kingston Council OptiKA 2019: People's Choice Award. Lisa won the $1000 prize sponsored by DFO Moorabbin for her entry 'Teachers' taken at Mentone Girls' Secondary College. We are proud of Lisa’s achievements, made more special that her photo was our always winning teachers. Lisa entered the competition as an example to her students to ‘give it a go’ and not be afraid to display their work. Here’s the opportunity for anyone to be brave. Entries are now open for OptiKA 2020.

Unfortunately we have some sad news to share with our members. On behalf of the family, we would like to let everyone know that Mrs Merle “Ginny” Robinson, former science teacher at Mentone Girls’ Secondary College for 25 years, has passed away. Her funeral is to be held at WD Rose on Charman Road, Cheltenham this Friday 13 September at 10am. Past students and staff are welcome to attend. RIP Mrs Robinson.

P O S T P O N E D - The 2019 Reunion Event scheduled for this Thursday, 8 August 2019 has been cancelled until further notice. Unfortunately, we have not reached the minimum required number of attendance for this event to go ahead. If there is sufficient interest, we do hope to reschedule the event for late October. A BIG thank you for your support and interest to those who have purchased tickets for this event - *a full refund will be offered*

It’s not always easy for students to secure placements in their field of interest so MGSC is looking to broaden the potential employer base for students. MGSC’s Work Experience Program runs from 6-10 May.
