Alice the Musical 🎭

What a wonderful journey it has been bringing Alice in Wonderland to life! Last Thursday, our students took to the stage for our whole-school production, Alice the Musical, and what a magical performance it was. 🐇🎩

We are so proud of the enthusiasm, creativity, confidence and dedication our students showed throughout the rehearsals and on stage. A huge congratulations to all of our wonderful performers, staff and parent helpers, and a very special thank you to Mrs Williams for her incredible dedication, creativity and countless hours of hard work to bring this production to life.✨

A very special Grandparents’ Day 💛

Thank you to all of the wonderful grandparents and important people who joined us on Tuesday for a special morning at school. It was so lovely to welcome you for morning tea, share special moments and activities with your grandchildren, and come together as a school community for Mass.

🌧️ A Spotlight on Learning: Inquiry 🌱♻️

Our Prep Inquiry unit on weather, seasons and the environment ended on a high note with an exciting visit from Junkyard Beats! Students turned everyday “junk” into music, exploring rhythm, creativity and sustainability through a fun, hands-on experience. It was a fantastic way to bring our learning about caring for the environment to life.

Spotlight on Learning: English 📚

At St Patrick’s, we use the InitiaLit program to support our junior students in building strong foundations in reading and writing. Through a structured and explicit approach to literacy, our students are taught essential skills in phonics, spelling, fluency and comprehension, helping them grow into confident, capable readers and writers. It’s wonderful to see their confidence grow as they develop their literacy skills each day.

Last week, our Year 4 students were excited to be the first school group to visit the Edithvale-Seaford Wetland Education Centre! 🌿

Students learned about the water cycle, Melbourne Water’s role in managing our water, ways to reduce water waste, and the impact of water pollution. They also explored food chains and enjoyed bird watching in the wetlands.🐦‍⬛

On Tuesday, our Year 3-6 students took part in the Senior Athletics Carnival. It was fantastic to see so many students giving their best in events such as long jump, triple jump, high jump, shot put, discus, and running races.
