As a part of Science week the Reception students used their inquiry skills and investigated what would happen to skittles if they were placed in water. As part of Science Week, our Year 2/3 class completed the Walking Water Experiment with Mrs Greenwood. We learnt about capillary action, adhesion and cohesion, and discovered how water can travel through the tiny spaces in paper towel, moving upwards against gravity and into another cup. It was exciting to watch the water slowly move between the cups and see the primary colours mix together to create secondary colours.
