Book Parade!

What a wonderful morning at our Book Parade! Our Junior School students brought their favourite stories to life with creativity, enthusiasm and imagination. A big thank you to our families for joining the celebration and helping make the day so special.

Broughton’s first snow trip in over 15 years was a huge success, with 22 students hitting the slopes for an unforgettable weekend!

With 18 beginners in the group, there was plenty of excitement, plenty of laughs, and a few spectacular falls along the way. Despite challenging snow conditions, students embraced the experience, building confidence and giving skiing and snowboarding their best shot.

A fantastic weekend was had by all, and we’re already looking forward to doing it all again next year!

Our Broughton students had a wonderful time with Dan Warlow today, singing along to songs about being strong and courageous.

Through music and fun, students were reminded of Philippians 4:6–7:
"Do not worry about anything, but pray about everything..."

A timely reminder that we can always turn to God in prayer and trust in His peace. Thank you, Dan, for sharing such an encouraging message with our students!

Congratulations to Ava, who was named the 12 Years Girls Age Champion at the recent CASA Primary Athletics Carnival!

As if that wasn't impressive enough, Ava was also awarded Female Athlete of the Meet. 🌟

An outstanding achievement, Ava. Well done to all of our athletes who represented Broughton with pride.

We were delighted to welcome acclaimed author Louise Park to the Junior School today!

Students were inspired by her engaging talk and had the opportunity to develop their own storytelling skills during a hands-on writing workshop. Thank you, Louise, for sharing your creativity, expertise and passion for writing with our young authors!

Congratulations to Year 9 students Alexis and Noah, who were recognised with Coaches Awards at the annual South West Sydney Academy of Sport Presentation Night.

Alexis received the Basketball Coaches Award in recognition of her outstanding commitment, determination and willingness to embrace every opportunity throughout the program.

Noah was awarded the BMX Coaches Award for his consistent attendance, dedication to improvement and positive attitude towards coaching and feedback.

A fantastic achievement by both students and a testament to their hard work and commitment to their sports. Well done, Alexis and Noah!

We love celebrating the passions and achievements of our students.

Over the July holidays, Hank represented Australia at the Boston International Music Competition, where he achieved Third Place after progressing through multiple rounds of competition. While overseas, he also visited several world-renowned universities and music institutions, including Harvard, MIT, Berklee, Juilliard and the Curtis Institute of Music.

Since returning home, Hank has been awarded a Gold Medal in Professor Zhang’s 7th International Violin Competition and received a $1,000 scholarship from the Mosman Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster, Mrs Xia.

Congratulations, Hank, on your commitment to developing your musical talents.

This week, our School Captains attended the Narellan Business Chamber Breakfast, where they heard NSW Premier Chris Minns speak about the growth of South West Sydney and the importance of young people having a voice in shaping our region’s future. It was a valuable opportunity for our student leaders to engage with issues affecting their local community.

CASA Athletics Carnival!

More than 50 Broughton Anglican College students proudly represented the College at the CASA Athletics Carnival last week, competing with determination and school spirit across a full program of track and field events.

Congratulations to all athletes on their efforts, and best of luck to those who have qualified for the CIS Athletics Carnival later this term!

Introducing Our Basketball Head Coach: Tim Coenraad!

Broughton Sports Academy is excited to introduce Tim Coenraad as our Head Coach.

A former Illawarra Hawks star, Tim enjoyed an outstanding 14-season NBL career, playing 374 games, the third-most in Hawks history. Known as one of the league's most reliable shooters, he finished his career with 424 three-pointers and an impressive near 40% shooting percentage from beyond the arc.

Tim brings elite-level experience, leadership, and a passion for developing the next generation of athletes.
