Daniel has trained under the guidance of Brian Mackie, an 8th Dan Kyoshi Shihan and Chief Instructor of Australia I.K.G.A. for 25 years, starting when he was just 7 years old. Daniel continues to actively train and improve his skills under Brian Mackie Hanshi and also travelled to Japan on multiple occasions to train under Goshi Yamaguchi, Grand Master of the International Goju-Kai Karate-do Assoc
