Today we enjoyed the beautiful weather with a sensory water play activity. The Children were so excited as they watched the Educators filling the tub with water and adding colourful balls. We provided the Children with different size containers, buckets and scoops.
Educators demonstrated how we can scoop the balls from the tub and put it in the buckets and small containers. The children watched with great attention and were eager to start.
This activity assisted to help strengthen and build on their hand eye coordination and their pincer grip.

Scooping and moving the balls also incorporated some science into the learning as the Children were learning the concepts of volume, size and capacity. The Educators assisted the Children in counting their balls as they collected them and placed them into the containers which aided in building on their Numeracy and early Mathematics.

Wombat Stew.

Wombat stew! Gooey, Brewy, Yummy, Chewy, Wombat stew!” 🎶🪶🐕 🤎🌿

A small world tray for my Toddler friends who love creating stories and using their imagination with animal miniatures/figurines.
This was a wonderful experience for the children to enjoy, firstly getting to enjoy the experience hands on and be able to explore,
Create and imagine their own world play then experiencing the joy of having the story book read to them, to further indulge their thoughts and imaginations.

Creative play and exploration aides in the development of child inquiry, imagination, it assists in teaching the process of sharing and turn taking and prompts conversations between peers which builds and strengthens their language development.

This week in the babies room and throughout our centre we focused on Celebrating Halloween.

With our Beautifully decorated foyer the children have been excited entering everyday and we incorporated some patchwork painting for them to enjoy that resembled a web.

The children assisted the educators in placing the tape onto the canvas and then were given a choice of coloured paint and brushes to use.

This free painting experience enabled the children to explore their own creativity and input their own imagination into creating a piece of art unique to them.

Building on both eye-hand co-ordination, strengthening their grip and promoting group table activities and communication assists in each child's development and learning.

P O T I O N . E X P L O R I N G ⚡️💧🍁

A favourite this week has been, the potion making in preparation for the upcoming Halloween Celebrations.

Sensory play and using our hands stimulate our imaginations as we are able to add to our potion in small or large amounts, often changing the base colour as we go.

Activities that are hands on prompt conversation and communication amongst the children and their peers as they talk about what object they may add next, or what paint colour they will choose next.

Potion exploring will continue to be explored all week!
Get in while you can
