Have you ever wondered why we don’t recommend one-on-one tutoring? 🤔

At Kip McGrath, we absolutely believe in individualised learning, but that doesn’t mean students need to learn in isolation.

Our students work from a personalised learning program, designed around exactly what they need. Our qualified teachers explicitly teach new concepts, provide opportunities to practise, give feedback and step in with corrective teaching when needed.

But they do this within a small-group environment.

Why? Because ultimately, students need to take their new skills and confidence back into a classroom.

Learning alongside other students helps children practise working independently, staying focused when others are around, asking for help when they need it and applying strategies without having an adult sitting beside them every second.

We want our students to become less dependent on support, not more dependent on it.

Personalised learning. Qualified teachers. Small groups. Growing independence.

That’s the Kip difference. 💙📚

We can’t hardly hold our excitement as we wait for our new Kip trophies.

Rewarding our students for effort is such an important part of building learning confidence. When students have learning confidence they are more likely to give hard things a try and see greater success not only in the classroom but in extra curriculum activities to. How can we support learners receiving NDIS funding by building social skills and participation in learning?

Kip McGrath provides structured educational programs that can support children and young people to develop practical skills that assist with social participation, communication, confidence and engagement in learning environments.

Depending on the individual learner’s goals, sessions may support the development of:

* communication and appropriate interaction with peers and adults
* confidence participating in small-group learning activities
* turn-taking, listening and following instructions
* asking for help and expressing needs appropriately
* working cooperatively with others
* problem-solving and flexible thinking
* managing learning routines and transitions
* independence and self-advocacy
* confidence in unfamiliar or challenging learning situations
* building positive relationships in educational and community settings.

Our Approach

Programs are goal-focused and individualised around the learner’s identified needs. Activities provide opportunities to practise skills in a structured, supportive educational environment and progressively apply those skills with greater independence.

Learning goals can be developed in consultation with the participant, their family and relevant support professional. Call us today

As we welcome some new faces to the team. I want to share our hiring process with you. Your child’s safety and growth are our top priorities at Kip McGrath because every child deserves to feel secure, valued, and able to reach their full potential.

Every registered teacher works directly with our students under supervision before joining our team. We don't do interviews because anyone can tell me they're amazing! But seeing it in action is another thing.

We want to make sure they truly connect with our students and understand their needs. We don't just employ any qualified teachers; we wouldn't trust them with our own children.

We know this hands-on process ensures our educators are the right fit for Kip McGrath; they are experienced, they understand child safety and most of all they motivate our students.

Because every student deserves caring, capable people who inspire confidence and make learning a positive experience.

Expressions of Interest Now Open
Kip McGrath Kindness Awards 2027

Kip McGrath Education Centres invites primary schools across Werribee, Tarneit, Bacchus Marsh, Ballan, Melton, Essendon, and Caroline Springs to join our free Kindness Awards program, commencing in 2027.

66 free Kindness Award medals for your school

Each participating school will receive 66 Kindness Award medals during 2027: one medal for each year level from Year 1 to Year 6, every month from February to December.

There are no medals in January because children should be enjoying their well-earned summer holidays!

Why kindness?
At Kip McGrath, we believe education is about more than academic achievement. Confidence, kindness, inclusion and a sense of belonging help children feel ready to learn and reach their potential.

The Kindness Awards will recognise students who:
Include and encourage others
Help someone who needs support
Demonstrate empathy and understanding
Treat others with care and respect
Make their school a happier and more welcoming place
Nothing is expected in return
This program is completely free, and we do not want anything from your school in return.

Your school will never be required to tag, mention or promote Kip McGrath. There are no advertising expectations or promotional obligations.

All we ask is that your school selects deserving students, presents their medals and celebrates why each student has been recognised.

The focus is entirely on the children and the kindness they bring to their school community.
