Strong relationships are the foundation for confident, curious learners 💛
Goodstart’s key educator approach ensures every child is known, supported and feels safe - through consistent, nurturing connections with educators and meaningful partnerships with families. These bonds help build wellbeing, resilience and a true sense of belonging from day one.

What our Toddler 2 children got up to on Monday when it was wet and rainy….
They go outdoors and search for worms and snails to learn about them.

WE LOVE FEEDBACK FROM OUR FAMILIES 😀
Rainy days call for indoor play. The other day our Toddler 1 children, spent the morning inside making and engaging with playdough. This experience helps children develop fine motor skills which are essential before writing begins.

In our Toddler 2 room, we believe children are capable, confident learners who thrive in a nurturing, play-based environment. We encourage independence by supporting children to make choices, participate in daily routines, and develop confidence in their own abilities.
We value children’s rights, voices, and ideas, ensuring they have meaningful opportunities to guide their learning through play, exploration, and decision-making.
Our “All About Me” inquiry project celebrates each child’s identity, family, culture, and sense of belonging. Through family partnerships and shared experiences, we foster respect for diversity and help children develop an appreciation of themselves and others.
By creating an inclusive and supportive environment, we empower every child to feel valued, respected, and confident as they learn and grow.
Here is also one of our independence routine as well

On Friday the whole centre practiced a offsite evacuation. They all did a great job walking to the site except for our babies were lucky to get a ride in the emergency cot..
In The Toddler 1 room we have created learning spaces to help each child build their own unique sense of self. The room environment helps children develop a feeling of belonging, feeling safe which is our top most priority and feeling valued and loved. This provides children with a secure base to explore hence, challenging their learning and development. Through different learning experiences educators aim at building a strong sense of identity for each child which helps children become independent and secure in other areas of learning.

The Nursery 2 program provides a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to explore, discover, and develop at their own pace. Through play-based learning experiences, children build confidence, independence, communication skills, and positive relationships with educators and peers.
Our daily program includes sensory play, music and movement, story time, creative arts, outdoor exploration, and activities that support fine and gross motor development. Educators follow each child's individual interests and developmental needs while fostering a sense of belonging, wellbeing, and curiosity.
The program is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), promoting learning outcomes related to identity, connection, wellbeing, confidence, and communication. Consistent routines for meals, rest, and play help children feel secure while encouraging them to develop self-help skills and independence.
