Year 5/6 Choir Performance Update
Dear Parents and Carers,
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have unfortunately had to cancel the Year 5/6 Choir performance that was scheduled to take place at tomorrow's Senior School Assembly (Friday 19 June).
We apologise for any disappointment this may cause and appreciate your understanding. We are currently working on an alternative date and look forward to rescheduling the performance later this term.
We are still very excited to see our Year 3/4 Choir perform at tomorrow's assembly and encourage families to join us in supporting these talented students.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

π HOUSE COLOUR WINNERS ANNOUNCED! π
A huge congratulations to Balyang (Blue) House, our Semester 1 House Colour winners! π
Today, Mr Velden and Ms Gomez invited Balyang students to the gym to celebrate their achievement and provide them with an opportunity to have student voice in selecting their reward.
Students shared a range of fantastic ideas, including:
β Crazy Hair Day
β School Disco
β Movie Session
β Sports Hour
β Casual Clothes Day
β And many more!
Each student had the opportunity to cast a vote for their favourite reward. After all votes were counted, Casual Clothes Day was the clear winner, with Sports Hour finishing a very close second.
As this is the second time Balyang House has won, Mr Velden and Ms Gomez decided that Blue House students had worked incredibly hard and deserved both rewards!
The excitement in the gym was incredible, and we are quite certain the shoppers at Woodgrove could have heard their cheers! ππ
Please see the details of the celebrations below.
A huge thank you to all students for their continued effort, determination and commitment to earning positive chronicles and house points throughout the semester.
We can't wait to see which House will take home the honours next semester! π
π Go Balyang! π

ππ₯ Prep Students Learn About Fire Safety! π₯π
Today our Prep students enjoyed a very exciting visit from the local firefighters!
The firefighters taught us all about the difference between good fires and bad fires, how to stay safe around fire at home, the importance of checking smoke alarms, and why every family should have a safe meeting point in an emergency.
Students also practised the important safety strategy "Stop, Drop and Roll" and learned what to do if their clothes ever catch fire.
The highlight of the day was getting up close to the fire truck! π Students had the opportunity to spray the fire hose, hear the sirens and horns, and explore some of the special equipment firefighters use to keep our community safe.
It was a fun, hands-on learning experience and a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn important fire safety skills.
A big thank you to our local firefighters for taking the time to visit and teach us!
