Our Wombat children enjoyed setting up our christmas tree, The children were excited to see it and had a great time decorating, placing baubles and other ornaments on the branches.

Everyone had a turn, and we even made some of our own clear baubles filled with sparkling materials. With the decorations up and Christmas carols playing, the room already feels festive!

Today was our excursion toTraffic school with our 4 Year old kinder group, Atherstone Traffic school provides a fun and engaging space to develop important road safety skills and gain confidence on bicycles, tricycles and scooters, the Atherstone Traffic School consists of a variety intersections and signage to mimic the features of a real traffic experience within a more controlled environment.

What a busy week we have had, heres what our wombat group have been up to! As part of Recycle Week, the children got creative with recycled materials, the children experimented with mixing primary colours to discover how secondary colours are created
and they exercised their cognitive skills by constructing various creations from pool noodle pieces, connecting them together with sticks.

Lastly we enjoyed a colour experience outdoors, colouring with coloured ice cube popsicles, sparking curiosity and encouraging turn-taking and sharing.

This week we celebrated outdoor classroom day and what a better way to celebrate by being outside! Our 3-4 year olds headed to the melton botanical gardens, The children explored the gardens first, collecting different materials for an up coming experience.

Being outside in nature enhanced physical health and motor skills, improved cognitive function and creativity, fostered social skills and communication, and emotional well-being.

Today we celebarted halloween through engagement with different activities and experiences, our favourite activity for today was potion making, watching the potion bubble in the cauldrons and seeing the childrens excitement when it changed colour! The children wore their favourite costumes for the occastion! 🎃🎃
