A fantastic Term 3 filled with opportunities for professional learning, leadership development and networking! 🌱✨

Our Educational Leader and ECT team have had the opportunity to participate in the Department of Education professional learning and networking sessions, including a Leadership Forum and an Aspire EL & ECT Networking session for term 3.

We have also had valuable opportunities to connect and collaborate with allied health professionals and PSFOs (Preschool Field Officers), strengthening our understanding, sharing knowledge and building supportive networks around children, families and educators. 🤝💚

These experiences provided valuable opportunities to:

Today, we celebrated the incredible educators who bring passion, dedication, creativity and love to everything they do at Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten Atherstone. ❤️✨

Our Educators’ Day celebration was filled with yummy food, delicious treats, lots of laughter and heartfelt individual shoutouts to recognise the unique contribution each member of our amazing team makes. 🧁🍓☕️💐

It was a beautiful opportunity to pause, appreciate one another and celebrate the people who make such a meaningful difference in the lives of our children and families every day. 🌈👧🧒

What a fantastic team-building experience with Aspire Atherstone at Hijinx Hotel! ❤️

Team Atherstone enjoyed an afternoon filled with fun, laughter, exciting challenges and plenty of teamwork. We also enjoyed some delicious food together, making the day even more special! 😋🍽️

It was a wonderful opportunity to step away from our usual routines, connect with one another and create some beautiful memories as a team.

We are excited to celebrate Science Week at Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten Atherstone! 🌿🔍
This week, our children will become curious little scientists as they explore, investigate, experiment, predict, observe and discover through hands-on learning and play. 🧠✨
From exciting experiments and sensory investigations to exploring nature, colours, reactions, movement and cause-and-effect, our learning environments will be filled with opportunities to ask questions and discover “why” and “how.” 💡
A special highlight of our week will be the Supercharged Science – Crazy Chemistry Incursion, where our kindergarten children will experience an exciting world of chemistry through engaging demonstrations and hands-on scientific exploration! 🧪🎉

🧪 Supercharged Science Incursion – Crazy Chemistry!
Monday, 17 August 2026, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
Get ready for an exciting day of fizz, foam, bubbles and amazing chemical reactions at Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten Atherstone! 🧪✨

Our children will have the opportunity to explore the fascinating world of chemistry through hands-on, interactive experiments, discovering how different materials react, change and combine. The Crazy Chemistry program is designed for younger learners and explores concepts such as reversible and irreversible changes, acids and bases, colourful indicators and polymers.

Through playful scientific investigations, children will be encouraged to make predictions, observe changes, ask questions and share their ideas, supporting curiosity, problem-solving and early scientific thinking.

🌱 Building Community Connections with St Padre Pio Catholic Primary School

Today, Gurdeep Sidhu, Centre Manager Aspire Atherstone and Gurpreet Dhaliwal, Educational Leader, had the opportunity to visit St Padre Pio Catholic Primary School and meet with the School Principal, MR DANIEL BERMINGHAM .

This first meeting was an important step in laying the foundations for a strong and meaningful community partnership between Aspire Atherstone and the school.

During our visit, we were welcomed with a tour of the school and had valuable discussions about future opportunities to work together to support smoother Prep transitions for children and families. We discussed the importance of building connections, sharing information and creating continuity between early childhood and school.

As part of developing this relationship, We extended an invitation to the School Principal to visit Aspire Atherstone, further strengthening our connection and creating an opportunity to share our learning environment and educational practices.

We look forward to continuing to be working collaboratively to support positive, confident and connected transitions to school for our children and families. 🌱💚

🦷✨ Dental Health Week at Aspire Atherstone! ✨🪥

This week, our children at Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten Atherstone explored the importance of looking after our teeth and keeping our smiles healthy! 😁💙

Through engaging, play-based experiences, our children learned about brushing their teeth, making healthy food and drink choices, caring for their smiles and why regular dental visits are important. 🪥🍎💧

From brushing demonstrations and dental-themed activities to imaginative play and conversations about healthy smiles, our educators created opportunities for children to develop positive oral-health habits in fun and meaningful ways. 🌟

We believe healthy habits begin in the early years, and learning to care for our teeth can become an important part of children’s everyday routines. 🦷❤️

The Banksia team has thoughtfully created a warm and inviting reading area that encourages children to develop a love of books and literacy.

The space features a soft, neutral-coloured rug with comfortable floor cushions and bean bags, providing a cosy place for children to relax and enjoy stories. Low, front-facing bookshelves allow children to independently select and return books, fostering choice and independence. A charming canopy has been added to create a welcoming atmosphere, while soft toys and story-time puppets inspire imaginative storytelling, language development and meaningful interactions.

This beautiful learning environment offers children a calm, engaging space where they can explore books, spark their imagination and enjoy shared reading experiences.
