Recently in the Babies Room the children have displayed a big interest in the story Five Little Speckled Frogs, which Julie introduced in some spontaneous reading. As the children's interest grew we decided to build on this interest with various experiences within the room, the latest being an entire area dedicated to frogs and the story in which they enjoyed so much. From this area Sarah has provided opportunities for children to explore their senses, build on their dramatic play skills and develop their understanding of literacy. We have enjoyed watching their love of this story develop into other learning opportunities for the children.
