We hope you are all well and training strongly.
This is a friendly reminder that the One Legacy ITF 2nd Victorian Open Championship 2026 is now only one month away, taking place on Saturday, 5 September 2026 in Stawell, Victoria.
We are very excited to share that competitors have already signed up across a wonderful range of ages and ranks, from as young as 6 years old through to 82 years old, and from white belt through to 5th Degree Black Belt. This is exactly the spirit of the Victorian Open: a welcoming championship where beginners, experienced competitors, families, seniors and leaders can all step onto the mats, build confidence and grow together.
This championship has been designed to provide a positive, encouraging and friendly competition experience, especially for beginner competitors, including young competitors, mature-age competitors and elder age groups. Our goal is to help every participant gain valuable mat time, build courage, develop confidence and enjoy the full dynamic Taekwon-Do competition experience.
The event also aims to strengthen team bonding, family connection and school spirit, while highlighting the deeper teachings of Taekwon-Do, including courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit.
Early Bird Registration Reminder
The Early Bird rate ends on 23 August 2026.
Early Bird: $60 flat rate for all events
Standard rate after 23 August: $70 flat rate for all events
This flat-rate structure has been created to encourage competitors to take part in as many events as possible and gain greater exposure to the full range of Taekwon-Do competition components.
Competitors are encouraged to participate across multiple events, including Patterns, Sparring, Special Technique, Power Breaking and team events, to gain a well-rounded competition experience.

Bonus Free Event for under 8 years old competitors
Free entry for under 8 years old competitors, just send me a list of their names and date of birth and we will have a series of fun challenges for them that gives them exposure to tournaments and also get a lot of fun out of it.
Bonus Family Team Pattern
This is a free bonus event. Registered competitors’ parents are welcome to step onto the mats with their children, with no uniform required, to perform an optional pattern together. This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate family bonding, courage and Taekwon-Do spirit.
Joint-School Team Arrangements
To help competitors gain as much mat time and exposure as possible, joint-school team arrangements are welcome upon request.
If competitors are unable to form a full team within their own school, they may contact the Organiser to discuss possible joint-school team options. This allows more students to participate in team events, build friendships across schools and enjoy the team spirit of Taekwon-Do.
Day Two Special Training Camp with Grand Master Daher
On Sunday, 6 September 2026, we will also be holding a special training camp with Grand Master Daher.
Time: 8:30 am to 12:00 pm
Cost: $30 per person
This is a valuable opportunity for students, competitors and instructors to learn directly from Grand Master Daher and further develop their Taekwon-Do knowledge, technique and spirit.
