Australia has introduced Ministerial Direction 119, replacing Direction 105 and changing the processing priority for certain skilled visa applications. 🇦🇺

So, who gets priority? 👇

🔹 Priority 1: Law enforcement & defence
🔹 Priority 2: Healthcare, teaching & construction
🔹 Other applicants: Processed after priority occupations, with applicants in Australia generally ahead of those applying from offshore.

📌 Direction 119 applies to a range of skilled visas, including 186, 482, 494, 189, 190, 191, 491, 887 and 888.

⚠️ Remember: this changes processing priority, not visa eligibility, occupation lists or visa requirements.

🚨 RESPONSIBLE EOI PRACTICE MATTERS

If you’ve received an invitation and have multiple active EOIs that you no longer need, please withdraw the unused EOIs.

Every invitation round has a limited number of places. Holding onto EOIs after receiving an invite can potentially prevent another applicant from getting the opportunity they’ve been waiting for. 🎓🇦🇺
