đź’ Thought of the Week
“When you go out to war against your enemies…”
The Torah begins this week’s parsha by telling us “Ki Teitzei” when you go out to battle.
Perhaps there is a deeper message here. When you face a battle, don’t automatically see yourself as equal to the opponent. Sometimes we spend far too much energy fighting petty battles simply because we give them too much importance.
When you recognise your own strength and rise above the fight, you don’t always need to engage. When you operate from a place of confidence and strength, the battle itself can disappear.
Not every battle deserves to be fought. Sometimes the greatest victory is simply choosing to rise above it.
