Quote of the week - Be grateful in everything!

Too often we pray for tables, forgetting that God does not make tables, he makes trees. So we’ve got to take some time to look deeper and work with what we’ve got!

Tests are there everyday, sometimes to check our wisdom or knowledge, but many times to help us grow, it’s often in this, that we discover our true strength and purpose!

Job seeker secrets - What is your ideal job?
To make a difference...

After immigrating four times, which means I was unemployed at least 4 times in my life in a new place, with little or no contacts, this is a tool I created to help me move into various positions along with a high level of action, a good CV and referees which is designed also to help those seeking the next stage of their career if for whatever reason you feel stuck.

Please share this, as you never know who needs it.
Also, if you have any questions about finding work, just reach out to me via Private Message.

Job seeker secrets...
To make a difference

Interview tip:
Most interviews I’ve held are divided into three parts:
A: Your background - CV & Personal
Tell me about yourself?
Stay as relevant to the role you’ve applied for as possible in discussing your background or experience and try to make it an exciting story that lead you to where you are now, putting you in a positive light.

B: The Company and role
What do you know about the company and or role you’ve applied for?
Do your research before and try to possibly reach out to someone from the department or company for more insights that could back up your decision to apply.

C: Behavioural based questions
Tell me about a time... these questions vary per role, but a common one could be, tell me about a time you were faced with a tough decision that affected a number of people?
Use the STAR method in your reply as it provides structure and clarity to your answer:
S: What was the situation?
T: What tasks were involved?
A: What actions did you take?
R: What was the result or outcome?

All the best šŸ™šŸ¼

Job seeker secrets...
To make a difference

LinkedIn tip:
Once you have your CV set up right, so as to be found more easily on the Automated Tracking Systems many recruiters use, simply copy over your job description and achievements into LinkedIn, as many recruiters also use LinkedIn to find new talent or staff, sometimes even surprising you by reaching out with a potential job offer that fits your profile after finding you via a LinkedIn talent search.

JOB SEEKER SECRETS…
To Make a difference…

Did you know: Recruiters spend an average of 7 seconds looking at your Resume/CV, that’s if you make it past the ATS?

Seeker tip: So if you already have work experience relevant to the role you want - place that first, if not, then it’s your applicable education. Segment the information for ease of reference with your job title and use around four bullet points to describe what you’ve done, as aligned to the job description advertised.
