ADC Forum, an independent, not-for-profit leadership organisation, was founded in 1996 by Australian members of the World Economic Forum in Davos. It contributes to building a resilient global system by helping leaders make better decisions. m facilitates this through initiatives that challenge conventional wisdom, provoke debate and build greater understanding about the profound, complex and interconnected challenges facing Australia, our region and the world. ADC Forum presents a strong program of high profile events, such as Future Summits, which provide a collaborative framework for Australia’s established and emerging leaders to share ideas and exchange views to help shape the future. This is complemented by the annual Australian Leadership Awards. ADC Forum also holds topical Summits on strategic issues of national interest. In 2014, such Summits focused on Infrastructure and Cities and Northern Development. The annual program also features the Australian Leadership Retreat for business, political, academic and community leaders. Other initiatives include boardroom briefings and corporate-government consultations including the annual ‘Canberra Connection’. Publications of proceedings and contributions of major ADC Forum events represent an enduring resource for business and public policy makers, disseminating insights and expert contributions.
