A huge thank you from AZYC to the new Ambassador of Israel to Australia, Dr. Hillel Newman, for taking the time to meet with representatives of Zionist youth movements from across Australia. 🇮🇱🇦🇺

It was a meaningful opportunity to introduce our movements, share our plans and vision for the year ahead, and discuss the Shnat program and its importance to the future of the Australian Jewish community.

We also greatly appreciated the Ambassador’s openness to the various issues and ideas we raised. He listened attentively, engaged thoughtfully, and showed a genuine determination to help us find solutions and support the work of our youth movements.

Thank you for your time, your openness, and most importantly, for your commitment to supporting the next generation of young Zionist leaders in Australia. We look forward to continuing this important conversation and working together in the year ahead!

A huge mazal tov to Netzer Australia on two brilliant alumni reunions, one in Sydney and one in Melbourne!

Around 200 past and present Netzer bogrim packed into a room to share stories, sing, dance and celebrate an incredible 46 years (!!!!) of educational continuity.

There is no feeling quite like being surrounded by friends from your movement, sharing memories, reconnecting with your madrichim and chanichim from years ago, and seeing that the movement that once was your second home is still thriving, growing and carrying its traditions forward.

Dear Netzer, we wish you many more decades of education, leadership and community. AZYC is proud to stand beside you and will always be here to support you.

Here’s to the next 46 years! 💚

Ten inspiring young women leaders from Victoria’s Zionist youth movements attended the WIZO Gala in support of Israel’s northern communities.

AZYC is incredibly proud of this remarkable group of women. Ensuring that youth movements are represented at major communal events is one of our key priorities. We will continue bringing youth movements into the heart of our community and proudly bringing "Chultzot" to the biggest events.

Thank you to WIZO for the invitation and the opportunity to take part in such a meaningful evening.

See you at the next community event!

BOGSEM 2026! What a weekend! 💙

BogSem brought together Bogrim from Netzer, Habonim Dror, Hineni, Betar, Bnei Akiva, Tzofim, BBYO, BJE, UJEB, Diller and AUJS, with representation from across Australia (New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia) and New Zealand. 🇦🇺🇳🇿

From the Shark Tank competition, raising money for incredible projects to be carried out in different movement branches, to the Zionist Federation of Australia Educators Conference, we had endless bonding and fun - it was a truly special experience.

We created connections between Zionist youth from different movements, backgrounds, opinions and styles, while finding so much in common. We shared different and meaningful Kabbalat Shabbat experiences, took part in educational activities exploring Israel and the relationship between Australia and Israel, and most importantly - we built a stronger community together.

Thank you to everyone who made BogSem happen, especially the AZYC team (Anat, Josh, Rafi, Maayan, Or and Ashira) and the Tzevet Hadracha from across the movements.

A big thank you is awarded to every person who came ready to learn, connect, challenge themselves and have fun.

Thank you to Joseph Folwell, Director of Diller Teen Fellows Australia, for his help in leading on BogSem.

A special thank you to our supporters - Jewish National Fund and the Millie Phillips Jewish Education Fund - for helping make this incredible gathering possible, and to the Zionist Federation of Australia for their ongoing support.

We are so grateful to have been part of this incredible gathering. 🇮🇱

Here’s to the connections we made and to everything we’ll continue building together!

150+ BOGRIM ATTEND AZYC CHILD SAFETY BRIEFINGS🚨

Behind every great camp experience is a team working quietly behind the scenes.

We are proud of the work we do at AZYC, delivering Child Safety briefings to Madrichim across Australia and New Zealand.

Our role is to help create an environment where every Chanich can feel safe, supported, and able to enjoy their time on camp.

From preventing issues before they happen to responding when unexpected situations arise, we’re committed to making every camp as safe and positive as possible.

Our Madrichim are super excited to welcome all our Chanichim to Winter Camp Season 2026!💙

On May 16, AZYC partnered with NSW JBD and Central Synagogue to bring together young adults from across the community for a meaningful Tikkun Leil centred on the theme “כל ישראל ערבים זה בזה”- Kol Yisrael arevim zeh bazeh (All of Israel are responsible for one another).

The evening featured engaging discussions, shared learning, creative sessions, and meaningful opportunities for connection in a warm and welcoming environment.

Thank you to our incredible presenters- Abby Friderich, Bella Filipczyk, Noam Olovitz, Ezra Franklin, Adam Rothschild, and Ben Ezzes- and to everyone who joined us for a special night of community, learning, and conversation. 💙

In VIC, Melbourne Mazkirim (Directors) and Gizbarim (Treasurers) attended the 2026 Community Grants Information Evening, organised by David Southwick, alongside the launch of the Volunteer Awards at Caulfield Park Bowls Club.
