By the end of Grade One, your young learner should be:

📖 Reading longer storybooks and non-fiction texts, such as "Zac Power" or simple science articles, using expression and understanding the main ideas and characters

➕ Solving two-digit addition and subtraction problems like 48 + 27 or 63 – 18, and beginning to explore multiplication as groups or arrays

✏️ Writing longer sentences and short paragraphs—using correct punctuation, spelling high-frequency words, and organising their ideas clearly in a few sentences (such as a recount of their weekend or a description of their favourite animal)

🤝 Working well with classmates to complete group activities, showing skills like listening, resolving disagreements with words, and including others in games
