Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads, stepdads, grandfathers, and father figures across our Edinburgh College community!

We hope you felt thoroughly celebrated yesterday! To mark the occasion, our Prep and Year 1 students hosted their very special father figures for Dad Camp last week. It was a wonderful time filled with pure joy, meaningful connections, and unforgettable memories. From casting fishing lines and roasting marshmallows by the fire to diving into all the fun activities together. We are deeply grateful for everything our father figures do to love, guide, and support our students every day.

Mrs J has been super busy behind the scenes, preparing us for our service trip to Samoa in just over a week! 🇼🇸✈️

An incredible amount of time, care and heart has gone into planning an experience that will teach our students the joy of serving others, while creating memories and connections that will last a lifetime.

We’re grateful for Mrs J’s dedication and can’t wait to see our students put their faith into action! 💛

Alumni Community Spotlight

We love seeing the incredible ways our school alumni continue to make a difference in the world!

This October, former students Ryan and Liam are taking on a huge personal challenge by running in the Nike Melbourne Marathon. They are taking on this goal in memory of Ryan's mum, whom he lost to cancer in 2016, and to honour everyone impacted by this disease. Together, they are hoping to turn loss into hope by raising funds for Cure Cancer to support vital, life-saving research.

To secure their official places on the starting line and represent this important cause, they need to hit their fundraising target by September 11.

Samoa here we come...

Over $5,000 in profit raised!

Words cannot express how grateful we are for the incredible support at our Year 11 Samoan Fundraising Gala Night! Every single dollar raised is going directly towards our upcoming Service Trip to Samoa this September! ✈️🌺

Our Year 11 team will be heading overseas to roll up their sleeves and give back directly to a local partner school community. The funds raised will go straight toward purchasing essential playground materials, new tables and chairs, fresh paint, and much-needed literacy and science resources to equip their classrooms and create a brighter learning environment for the students! 📚🔬🎨

This unforgettable night wouldn't have been possible without our amazing 21 Year 11 students, who stepped up and took ownership of their roles with so much pride. From hosting, greeting, and waiting tables, to serving delicious food, managing the music, running the raffle tickets, and tackling the late-night cleanup, you all shone so brightly!

A massive thank you to all the staff members who came out to show their love, and to everyone who filled the room with joyous Samoan singing and traditional dancing. The energy was unmatched! 🎶💃🕺

🏛️✨ YEAR 6 CANBERRA TOUR 2026 WAS A BLAST! 🚌❄️

Our Year 6 students have just wrapped up an incredible, action-packed week exploring Australia's wintry capital!

Starting with a fun-filled coach ride on Monday, July 27th, our combined team of Edinburgh College and Heritage College students spent three epic days taking in 12 iconic government and national venues before heading home on Friday, July 31st.

From stepping into the grand halls of Parliament House and the High Court to getting inspired at the Australian Institute of Sport and reflecting deeply at the Australian War Memorial, our students were completely awestruck at every turn. 🇦🇺🎖️

It was a week full of learning, friendship, and unforgettable moments that will truly last a lifetime. Huge well done to all our Year 6s for representing our schools so brilliantly! 👏🌟

The Australian Government recognises the importance of all young Australians being able to visit the national capital as part of their Civics and Citizenship education. To assist families in meeting the cost of the excursion, the Australian Government is contributing funding to our school in the amount of $45 per student under the Parliament and Civics Education Rebate (PACER) program towards those costs. The rebate is paid directly to the school upon completion of the excursion.
