Step Off the Sidelines
Our Year 5/6 students explored a powerful message through their design work: reconciliation isnβt something we simply watch from the sidelines.
Instead of being observers, they discovered what it means to be part of reconciliation. To be all in.
Reconciliation happens through the choices we make every day. Choosing peace over conflict. Kindness over indifference. Forgiveness over resentment. It is something we actively give to others and actively live ourselves.
Through their creative work, our students reflected on how these qualities help build stronger relationships, stronger communities, and a stronger Australia.
When we step forward with understanding, respect, and compassion, we all play a part in making a positive difference. β€οΈππ€

πΏπ Celebrating Reconciliation Through Sport!ππ
On Tuesday, Edinburgh College students proudly participated in the Worawa Reconciliation Sports Carnival, joining many independent and state schools for a wonderful celebration of reconciliation, community, and connection.
Our students hit the ground running, competing across a huge range of events:
π AFLW & The Longest Kick
π Volleyball
π Basketball 3x3
π Netball
πββοΈ Cross Country Running
A massive congratulations to our 3x3 Basketball team, who took home the win! π₯
Across all events, our mixed-age and mixed-gender teams showcased incredible collaboration, encouragement, and teamwork. It was so lovely to see everyone interacting so positively and inclusively, keeping the spirit of community at the forefront of every game.
"All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation." β 2 Corinthians 5:18 β¨
As we mark National Reconciliation Week, this beautiful verse reminds us of our calling to be active peacemakers and community builders. Stepping out onto the field together, fully "All In," is a powerful reflection of this shared journey.
Thank you so much to Worawa Aboriginal College for hosting us and including us in this fantastic tournament. It was truly a memorable day of sport, culture, and reconciliation for everyone involved. π€β¨

π¨ A Community "All In" for Service π¨
Every morning, our day begins with purpose.
For our students, morning worship in homeroom is a sacred time. Itβs where they build community, share life together, and get ready for the day ahead with important notices. But worship isn't just for students!
Our staff also gather every morning to ground themselves in our 2026 theme: All In.
This morning, our team put that theme into action in a powerful way. All staff headed into the prep rooms, rolled up their sleeves, and got to work cleaning tables.
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve..." β Mark 10:45
It was a beautiful, tangible reminder of our mission. We don't just talk about leadership, we practice it through service. We serve each other, we serve our community, and ultimately, we serve Jesus.
Thank you to our incredible staff for leading by example and being truly !

Our Year 7 budding investigators have been stepping into the world of CSI forensics! π
To help analyse evidence and solve mysteries, our students have been exploring 10 different separation techniques that real scientists use in the lab every day. From cracking clues to mastering lab equipment, these young detectives are putting their critical thinking skills to the test.
We love seeing our students dive into hands-on science and discover how these skills connect to the world around us. π§ͺπ§¬
Keep up the fantastic detective work, Year 7!

βοΈβ¨ Biggest Morning tea! β¨βοΈ
Yesterday our wonderful Primary School parents came together for Australiaβs Biggest Morning Tea. From 8:30am to 11:30am, the morning was filled with hot drinks, delicious sweet treats, and lots of great chatter.
Thanks to everyone who attended, we initially raised over $500. But the generosity kept growing! We received a beautiful donation of flower bulbs from Drewittβs Bulbs, which are currently available for purchase at the Primary Reception. Thanks to your bulb purchases, our total has now climbed past $800, with all proceeds going directly to the cause.
A massive thank you to Samantha Bulner for all her hard work and dedication in pulling this fantastic morning tea together. Our community is so grateful for your efforts!
Missed out but still want to contribute? There is still time to donate online and help us boost our total even further.
