EREA Spotlight | Building Bridges Beyond Borders
St Edward's College, Gosford, has welcomed students and staff from St Boniface's High School, South Africa, as part of a Global Student Immersion and Leadership Program.
For the students of St Boniface's, an Edmund Rice school serving the vibrant community of Galeshewe in Kimberley, South Africa, this opportunity is truly life changing. After a year of dedicated fundraising, these young people have travelled thousands of kilometres to experience a new culture, develop friendships through youth leadership, share their faith, and deepen their understanding of our global Edmund Rice family and how they can work together to build a better world.
Just as importantly, the visit will have a profound impact on the students of St Edward's. It creates opportunities for genuine encounter, learning and connection, while fostering a shared commitment to building hope and making a positive difference in the world.
The partnership between St Edward's and St Boniface's has grown steadily over recent years through teacher exchanges and online student dialogues. This visit represents the next step in that journey, bringing students together face to face and demonstrating the transformative power of global solidarity.
