At Goodstart Tarneit we proudly celebrated National Reconciliation Week and this year’s theme, “All In.”

Through stories, artwork, discussions and hands-on experiences our children explored Indigenous cultures, histories and perspectives. Together we learnt the importance of respect, inclusion and reconciliation and how we can all play a part in creating a better future.

The theme ‘All In’ reminds us that reconciliation is everyone’s responsibility. By learning together, listening to one another and understanding the importance of reconciliation, we are helping children develop understanding, empathy and a sense of belonging.

Our kinder children have been exploring the wonderful world of painting and imagination!

Through open ended art experiences, the children used colours, brush strokes and creativity to bring their ideas to life. From rainbows and flowers to special creations for their families, each artwork tells its own unique story!

Painting encourages creative thinking, communication, fine motor development and self-expression while giving children the freedom to explore their own ideas and interpretations.

We loved hearing the children proudly share what they had created and seeing their imaginations shine through every masterpiece. 🌈 🌸

On Friday we took time to pause, reflect and remember.

Through meaningful conversations and creative experiences, our children explored the significance of ANZAC Day and what it means to honour those who have served and sacrificed for our country. From painting poppies to creating wreaths and engaging in thoughtful discussions, our learning focused on remembrance, respect and gratitude.

It was truly special to see our children express their understanding in their own unique ways, reminding us that even the smallest hands can hold big respect.
