This year’s theme is "Seeds of Science: Nurturing knowledge for all." And you know there’s nowhere we love watching science grow more than in our very own Rooftop Garden in the sky!

🌍 Nurturing Knowledge: Just like a tiny seed turns into a big green plant, a tiny question like "Why is the sky blue?" or "How do plants drink water?" can grow into an amazing scientific discovery! This week, our classrooms are turning into mini-laboratories as we explore, test, and wonder together.

Meet Lisa! 💗

This month, we’re shining the spotlight on our wonderful educator, Lisa.

For almost 20 years, Lisa has been a valued part of the Kids on Collins family, bringing warmth, positivity and a genuine love for children and families to the centre each day.

With a passion for creativity and the arts, Lisa loves creating opportunities for children to explore, experiment and express themselves through art and craft.

Her cheerful nature, kindness and dedication make a real difference to our community, and we’re so grateful for everything she brings to Kids on Collins.

Today, we are rocking our best jeans to help some real-life superheroes: scientists! They are working hard to figure out how our bodies work and how to help children who get sick.

🧬 Kid-Friendly Fact: Inside your body, you have tiny "instruction booklets" called genes. They tell your body what color your eyes are, how tall you'll grow, and even if you can roll your tongue!

Sometimes, those booklets have a little typo, and scientists use our denim donations to help fix them.

🦷 Chasing away the sugar bugs for Dental Health Week!

From crunching on our healthy morning snacks to enjoying our daily afternoon High Tea, our teeth work incredibly hard here at Kids On Collins! This week, we’re learning how to give them the royal treatment they deserve.

🪥 The KoC Brush Challenge: We are practicing the 2x2 rule! Brush twice a day for two whole minutes. Our Educators love finding fun, silly songs to dance to while we brush to make sure every single tooth gets a clean sparkle.

This week is Pyjama Week at Kids On Collins.

While it's lots of fun to come to childcare in our favorite flannels and fuzzy slippers, we are also using this week to talk to the children about kindness, comfort, and how we can care for others in the community.

Getting our hands dirty for a greener tomorrow! Today is National Tree Day, and our young environmentalists are celebrating nature. 🌳

Living and learning in the city center means we love finding creative ways to bring nature indoors. Today, the children are participating in sustainability experiences—learning how plants grow, watering our center greenery, and discovering how trees help us breathe.
