At MELCC, we’re passionate about building community connections and supporting local businesses. Our 3YO Kinder children are setting up a Lending Library for the local community, promoting early literacy and community involvement. Today, they visited Jeffreys bookstore, gathering supplies with excitement and curiosity. We’re thrilled to share this resource with you all. 📚📚

🐝 Buzzing with excitement today

We had Friends With Honey visit our centre, and the children loved learning all about bees, how they make honey, and why they’re so important for our environment.

They explored real beekeeper tools, asked amazing questions, and showed so much curiosity. 🌼💛

Such a fun and engaging incursion, a truly buzz-worthy morning🐝✨

👩‍🍳 Little Chefs in Action! 🍅🍝

Today, our fabulous 4-year-olds rolled up their sleeves and got hands on in the kitchen, from mixing and rolling homemade pasta dough, to stirring the sauce and layering the lasagne. They even helped set the table before enjoying a delicious, meaningful meal together. ❤️

Cooking isn’t just fun it’s a powerful way to teach life skills like teamwork, patience, motor skills, and responsibility. These little learners are already building the confidence and independence they’ll need to thrive in the future

In the toddler room, we've been discovering our sense of taste and learning about different flavours like bitter, umami, sour, salty and sweet. Our tiny taste testers had a blast describing foods that matched each taste.Next up, we're digging into a worm farm adventure.🐛🪱
