Learning Healthy Habits Every Day!

Even the smallest moments can become valuable learning experiences.

Our little learners have been practicing how to care for themselves by using tissues to wipe their noses and learning where to place used tissues afterwards. Through gentle guidance and encouragement, children are developing important self-help skills, independence, and healthy hygiene habits that will support them for years to come.

We love seeing our children grow in confidence as they learn to take care of themselves, one small step at a time.

Our light table has been a wonderful space for exploration, curiosity and sensory learning! Our nursery children have been captivated by the reflective discs, watching the colours glow beneath them and discovering different reflections as they moved each piece.

Experiences like this encourage children to explore through touch, observation and experimentation while supporting sensory development, hand-eye coordination and early problem-solving skills.

Building, Creating & Imagining

There's no limit to where imagination can take us! Through open-ended play with playdough and natural materials, our children have been exploring, designing and creating their own unique masterpieces.

Using sticks, wooden slices and playdough, they experimented with balance, construction and creative thinking while strengthening their fine motor skills and problem-solving abilities. Every creation was different, showing just how powerful children's imaginations can be.

At Discovery, we love providing invitations to play that encourage curiosity, creativity and hands-on learning every day.

There’s something so special about watching children explore through art. With every brushstroke, splash of colour and messy masterpiece, they're developing creativity, fine motor skills and confidence while expressing themselves in their own unique way.

At Discovery, we celebrate the process just as much as the finished artwork. Sometimes the biggest smiles come from getting a little messy!

After all, childhood is meant to be colourful.

Something new to explore!

Our children have been loving the newest addition to our outdoor learning environment!

From climbing and balancing to imaginative adventures, our new timber play equipment is already inspiring curiosity, confidence and plenty of smiles. Outdoor play provides endless opportunities for children to challenge themselves, build their gross motor skills and create wonderful friendships through play.

We can't wait to see all of the adventures, stories and discoveries that unfold here in the months ahead.

Whether it's climbing a little higher, taking a big leap or lending a helping hand to a friend, every moment of outdoor play is an opportunity for children to learn and grow.

Building Big Feelings, Little by Little

Learning about emotions is an important part of growing up.

This week our children have been exploring our feelings through interactive emotion charts, mirrors, role-play dolls and meaningful conversations with their educators. These experiences encourage children to recognise their own emotions, understand how others might be feeling, and develop the confidence to express themselves in positive ways.

By creating a safe and supportive environment, we're helping children build the social and emotional skills that will support them throughout life.
