Celebrating 25 Years of Excellence in Australian Immigration Services

On 10th July 2025, Monash Migration and our Senior Migration Agent, Yftach Saar—known to many of his clients simply as Geoff—will proudly celebrate 25 years of dedicated service and full registration in the Australian immigration field.

Since the year 2000, we’ve had the privilege of preparing, lodging, and managing hundreds (if not thousands) of visa applications for individuals, families, and businesses across Australia and the globe. From temporary visas (Work, Student, Tourist, etc.) to provisional (Skilled) and permanent residency pathways (Partner, Business, Skilled, Protection, Parent, etc.), including Tribunal appeals, we’ve maintained an exceptional success rate of over 99%.

This journey has been long, challenging, and at times stressful—but above all, it has been incredibly rewarding. We look back with pride on the impact we’ve made and the lives we’ve helped transform.
We’ve come a long way since the “prehistoric” paper-based days of the early 2000s, when visa applications were sent by courier to the Department of Immigration. Today, we operate in a fully digital environment, managing applications seamlessly online.

Alongside his professional achievements, our founder and senior agent, Yftach (Geoff), began his immigration services career holding a Business Degree and later went on to complete an Australian Law Degree — a testament to his unwavering pursuit of excellence and deep expertise in the field.

From all of us at Monash Migration, thank you for being part of our journey. Here's to the next chapter!

Interim allocation for SA's General Skilled and Business Migration Program 11/08/2020

The Government of South Australia has been advised of a limited number of interim allocation places for the State’s General Skilled and Business Migration Program for 2020/21, which will be prioritised to support South Australia’s economic and public health recovery.
The full nomination allocations for 2020/21 will be determined later in the year as part of the 2020/21 Budget process.
Given the limited number of available nominations, South Australia’s program requirements and application processes for the General Skilled and Business Programs are currently being finalised, with a view to applications being open in late August 2020.
Based on direction from the Department of Home Affairs, applications will be prioritised according to:
1. High quality applications within the Business Innovation and Investment Program, with those who have already lodged an ‘Intention to Apply’ given priority consideration.
2. Applicants critical to supporting South Australia’s response to the COVID19 pandemic, including individuals providing critical or specialist medical services, critical skills required to maintain the supply of essential goods and services; or delivering services in sectors critical to Australia’s economic recovery.
3. Early consideration to onshore applicants that satisfy the above criteria.

Joint media release - Supporting international students to support Australian jobs 20/07/2020

Acting Minister for Immigration, Citizenship, Migrant Services and Multicultural Affairs: Joint media release - Supporting international students to support Australian jobs

These five visa changes will ensure international students are not worse off due to the coronavirus pandemic and that Australia remains competitive with other countries.

The changes include:

1. The Government will recommence granting student visas in all locations lodged outside Australia. This means when borders re-open, students will already have visas and be able to make arrangements to travel.
2. International students will be able to lodge a further student visa application free of charge, if they are unable to complete their studies within their original visa validity due to COVID-19.
3. Current student visa holders studying online outside Australia due to COVID-19 will be able to use that study to count towards the Australian study requirement for a post-study work visa.
4. Graduates who held a student visa will be eligible to apply for a post-study work visa outside Australia if they are unable to return due to COVID-19.
5. Additional time will be given for applicants to provide English language results where COVID-19 has disrupted access to these services.
