A fantastic turn out for our first working bee of the year. Some maintenance of equipment, a clean up of the outside area and a great chance to chat with some parents, many of whom hadn’t had the pleasure of meeting before. Have you obtained your Diploma of Early Childhood ? Have you got extensive experience working in Early Childhood? Are you passionate about Community Child Care? Then we have the position for you!

East Bentleigh Child Care is searching for a PART TIME TODDLER ROOM team member to work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday rotating shifts. The applicant must be someone who is caring, enthusiastic and a team player but who also displays very strong initiative with the ability to work within a team of three staff in a fast paced room.

We are a 37 place community child care centre, so family relationships are a big focus for us. The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to communicate with all types of families as well as Parent Committee members and develop meaningful relationships with all families.

It is crucial that you have completed your Diploma of Early Childhood and programming experience is preferable. Applicants must also hold a valid Working With Children Check, asthma, anaphylaxis, First Aid, CPR training and food handlers is preferred. All applicants must be fully Covid vaccinated to apply.

The successful applicant will be paid under the LHMU and VCSA Multiple Business Collective Agreement and will be provided opportunities for professional development.

This evening we said farewell to our class of 2021. This beautiful group of children have grown up together and we have just loved watching them learn, play and explore at EBCCC. They are kind, clever, funny and have brought so much joy to the educators and staff at our centre. We will miss them dearly but wish them well on their next adventure, Prep 2022. We just know they will achieve great things.

When asked why she chose EBCCC, she said:

“I knew EBCCC was the place for my family from the first time I entered the centre. It just had that warm, caring vibe that some of the larger centres in the area lack and don’t get me started on the outside play area, it’s what every city kid needs.

“So far my 2 eldest boys Vinnie and Bodie have loved their time at the centre and when I return to work next year I take comfort knowing Freddie will be cared for by the same people.”

Calling all EBCCC families!!

Our AGM will be in a couple of weeks and we need YOU! We’re calling for new members to be involved in the parent committee.

Have a say in how the centre is run and get to know some genuinely great people. Each family is expected to be a part of the committee for a period of time, so please put up your hand to get involved and to be a part of our team.

The commitment is manageable with work, family and everything in between. We’d genuinely love to have you on board.
