The garden beds were filled with soil to prepare the space for planting. Due to safety requirements, this part was completed by educators so the area would be ready for children to use safely.

The next step will be adding protective nets before the seedlings are planted. This will help create a safe and organised gardening space where children can take part more actively in the planting process.

As children begin planting the seedlings, they will have opportunities to develop care for the environment, follow safety routines, and build confidence through hands-on participation. These experiences support growing responsibility, cooperation, and an understanding of how living things are cared for.

Our holiday artists (ages 3+) explored a beautiful paint‑pour technique this week.
Children layered different shades of blue into a cup, then slowly poured the paint over Stitch to create a marbled effect.

This experience supported fine‑motor control, colour recognition, cause‑and‑effect learning, and encouraged children to take their time and enjoy the process.
Every Stitch turned out completely unique — a true one‑of‑a‑kind creation.

Our outdoor garden beds are now fitted with net frames and ready to be filled with rich soil.

Our greenhouse project turned into a full learning adventure today.
The children helped build it step‑by‑step, strengthening the shelves with cut dowel and adding extra support where it was needed. We then repurposed the leftover dowel into our own music sticks — nothing wasted.
A wonderful mix of teamwork, problem‑solving and sustainable creativity.

A big collaborative project unfolded today — all led by the children!
They worked together to build a long Zoob pathway that travelled across the sofa, over pillows, and around the whole play space.

Piece by piece, they planned, collected, carried and connected the Zoobs, showing incredible teamwork, problem‑solving and persistence.

Even though the video shows only the setup, every part of this structure was created by the children themselves — a beautiful example of shared thinking and child‑led learning.

The bushland yoga cards have just arrived, and the children were eager to explore them during yoga experiences. They used the cards to try different poses, moving their bodies with focus, balance and control while following visual prompts and joining in with growing confidence.

Through these experiences, the children are building physical wellbeing as they strengthen coordination, body awareness and self-regulation. The bushland yoga cards also support emotional and psychological wellbeing, giving the children calm moments to pause, breathe and manage their feelings in a gentle and meaningful way.

This extension also supports a cultural and spiritual connection as the children engage with resources created by S.N.A.I.C.C. In these moments, the children are developing a sense of identity, belonging and respect while continuing to grow in confidence, wellbeing and connection through movement.
